I: The Minimal Particle and the Genesis of Spacetime

The “I” stage signifies the minimal particle that appears in the Phenomenal World. Katakamuna refers to this particle as the “Ikatsu particle.”

With the emergence of this “Ikatsu particle,” a “location” is first established, and “space” begins to form. This state is called “Tokoro-no-Mari” (“Sphere of Space”).

Crucially, Katakamuna suggests that modern science can directly measure phenomena starting from this “I” stage. What’s vital here is the fundamental difference in perspective: while it’s generally thought that phenomena exist within pre-existing spacetime, Katakamuna posits that spacetime itself is created by “Toki-no-Mari” (Sphere of Time) and “Tokoro-no-Mari” (Sphere of Space).

Furthermore, when the “time” generated at the “YO” stage combines with the “space” formed at the “I” stage, the concept of “Yoi-no-Mari” (“Sphere of Time-Space”) emerges. Katakamuna expresses the process of creation from the Latent World (Kamu) to the Phenomenal World (Ama) through these five distinct stages: HI, FU, MI, YO, and I.
