The Rediscovery of Katakamuna
The Katakamuna script was rediscovered in the period just after World War II by the scientist Satsuki Narazaki (1899-1974). Narazaki devoted his life to deciphering this ancient script, leaving behind a vast body of research. His work was carried on by Tamie Uno (1917-2013), who compiled Narazaki’s extensive research and made dedicated efforts to publish a commentary that is now out of print.
What is particularly noteworthy is Uno’s strong concern that Katakamuna would be misinterpreted as occultism. Therefore, she painstakingly documented its teachings as faithfully as possible. However, in contemporary Japan, due to its profound content and mystical aspects, Katakamuna is often categorized within the realms of the occult or spirituality
What is Katakamuna?
Katakamuna is believed to be the etymological root of the Japanese language. Linguistically, Japanese is considered an independent language that does not belong to any other language family. Its history is said to be ancient, passed down since the Jomon period. This suggests that Katakamuna existed long before the introduction of Chinese characters to Japan.
The discovery and decipherment of Katakamuna have unveiled astonishing facts. The Katakamuna texts describe the fundamental truths of all things in the universe, from its origins down to subatomic particles. This knowledge not only overlaps with modern scientific discoveries but also extends to fields that remain unexplored today.
Why I Am Sharing Katakamuna with the World
My website and blog aim to introduce the profound wisdom of Katakamuna to an international audience. But there is a goal even more important than that. I want to embark on a journey with you to explore the vast, uncharted territories of Katakamuna.
I hope that you will use your experience, knowledge, and insights from your own research to gain a new perspective, allowing your intuition to find a new thread for deciphering this grand puzzle.
What Katakamuna Offers You
Studying Katakamuna is more than just learning about the origins of the Japanese language. The process of this exploration is also a journey to hone your own sensibility for gaining insight into the true nature of the world we live in—a sensibility I call “intuition.”
One way to refine your intuition is to find similarities in seemingly unrelated things. It begins with looking for harmonic similarities in nature or disharmonious similarities in man-made environments.
The intuition you refine through this kind of exploration may offer you an insight that changes your perspective on life. My hope is that this will become your own inner journey of discovery, making your life richer and more meaningful.
Geometric Element
The Katakamuna script is composed of only 21 elements. Each of these elements is imbued with a specific meaning and concept, and their combinations express even more profound ideas.
Sonic Element
While combinations of geometric elements express profound concepts, a distinct sound is assigned to each character. Through the combination of character and sound, a trinity of character, meaning, and sound is formed, which allows for intuitive understanding.
80 Verses
The words formed by sonic elements articulate the laws and truths of the universe in the form of 80 Verses (utahi). These Verses are the very core of Katakamuna.
